The Life of a Raid Leader

Where can I start? Without relying on the people that I have come to know as my friends in World of Warcraft there really is no way I could do what I do. Being a Raid Leader, even of a casual guild is not an easy task, it is incredibly difficult to please everyone in every situation, nigh impossible even. And as such, it means that sometimes you have to be the bad guy.

I have never had an issue with Leadership, it is something that I do continuously in my day to day life. It is hard, however, to know that the decisions you make sometimes leave people let down. And this is something that you really have to look beyond. Being a good leader means making the hard decisions. It means grabbing up the reigns of the wagon that is speeding off towards the cliffside, and telling everyone else to hang on tight – because you will get them out safely.

Leading not only in real life, but in World of Warcraft has helped me see many things in many different ways. And I want to say thank you to everyone for being a part of what we have created, because without people who want to raid – there is no raid leader.
